role-play rules
the rules of the rp
1) you may have only one character per account, and you are free to have as many characters as you can handle. be sure to keep a character tracker so that everyone knows which ones are yours.
2) you may participate in as many threads as you can handle, but make sure that you are actively participating in them. if a thread is not posted in for a month, at least, it will be marked as dead and archived.
3) if you are in a combat situation, plot it out with the other member to avoid arguments. we all move at our own pace with things like stats, and not everyone likes it when a situation is abused. plot and plan the events of a thread.
4) when you are venturing outside a village and going to another, you must do a 'travel thread'. it must be a minimum of 1000 words for each participant.
5) posts in the rp must be a minimum of 300 words. be detailed in your posts, because it will benefit you more than cheap posts. besides, you will want others to have a clear idea of what you are doing.
6) do not manipulate another member's character without their permission. you control yours and yours only!
7) act your part. how you describe your character in the application is how you mean to play them out in the rp. this also goes for how trained they are. e-rank ninjas are not going to be capable of destroying an entire village with s-rank jutsu.
8) face claims are used to represent what your character looks like. you do not take their name and information as your character's name and information. this is not a crossover rp. the fields in the character app must be original and unique. might there be a few similarities? perhaps, but don't go plagiarizing anything.
9) in addition to the rule on face claims... members may not use characters from the naruto series as face claims. you can be related to them as cousins or whatever.
10) we do not use canon characters from the naruto series. in special situations, like an event, there may be a cameo appearance for a period of time. but at those times, they'd just be npc characters.
11) the content in threads must remain at a pg-13 rating or lower. we do not allow mature content. might there be innuendos of a sort? keep it subtle, if there will be.
12) sitewide effects do take place. the growth of villages will occur, as will village-destroying events, and wars. whatever happens, it could change the shape of the shinobi world. all members are required to acknowledge these effects. if you don't want something to happen, prevent it from taking place in character.
13) the death of a character is the end of that character's development. if it ever happens to you, do your best to leave an impression on the world. after a character dies in the rp, their character apps will be moved to the 'dead characters' archive. dead characters cannot be revived.
14) in times when there are timeskips and other situations effecting how your character has matured in the rp, you can do a revamp of your character application with updated information - ranking up, and so on. you will have to put it through the approval process again, but it will certainly go quickly.
